February 28th, 2008 - 7:30pm : Meeting brought to order. 7:32 pm : Police presentation: Break-ins have been on a increase lately but most of it is on the out-skirts of the neighborhood, more than likely they can be attributed to kids fron the local middle school. 7:46 : Resident
asked if over flow from surounding neighborhood might contribute
to crime increase in our area. 7:59 : police officer encourages us to lock up the car as most of in our area might be able to be avioded by simple safety procedures. A recent arrest has removed a very serious offender and has been linked to several break-ins in the Riverland area. 8:03 : officer had to leave for a very serious call. 8:05 : Treasury report $621.99 8:08 : City
Event update: president made announcements 8:19 : Airport Report : We have had 92 events above 85 decibles and Helicopter traffic has been an issue for us. 8:32 : members brought up the issue of the Value Stay building: The quality of the clientel could be an issue for us. The christian day care next door has major issues with it because sexual preditors could be staying at the Value Stay without being registered. It's also a 2 story building that would not be condusive to the surrounding neighborhood and the issue of traffic should also be taken into concern. Discussion ensued. 8:52pm : Meeting adjourned. |
